Briefings are done on-site at your church. Because you will want key lay leaders to participate, we are prepared to deliver most of the sessions on weekends.
While briefings may be customized to your needs and schedule, a typical schedule might be:
- Friday
- Arrive at your church, test audi-visual equipment, confirm that all literature/handouts are ready
- Saturday
- Half to three-quarter day session with staff and lay leaders
- Overview of church mergers, key issues, typical process and timetables
- Review of Church Merger ToolKit
- Developing criteria through which to filter merger/acquisition opportunities
- Discussion of specific opportunities that your church is considering or might want to consider
- Sunday
- Afternoon session with congregation
- Present overview of church mergers, key issues, process, timetables
- Monday
- Morning session with staff (end by noon)
- Present, discuss, review materials and results of weekend
- Determine next steps
